2020 President’s Message
Happy New Year and welcome to the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the Appraisal Institute website.
The Mid-Hudson Chapter serves ten New York Counties in the Hudson Valley, from Westchester and Rockland Counties north to Columbia, Greene and Delaware Counties.
The Chapter is composed of more than 80 members of the most highly qualified experts in the field of residential and commercial appraisal. The Appraisal Institute is recognized as the leader in training and education in the real estate appraisal profession.
Chapter members meet four times a year, with a summer outing and Holiday dinner/officer installation at year’s end. One of the chapter highlights is our “home-grown” education seminar, now in its seventh year. This one-day seminar qualifies for the State-mandated education requirement and, since the curriculum changes year to year, new topics and presenters are regularly incorporated. The Chapter is open to ideas and suggestions that will help strengthen us and encourage membership. If you have a suggestion or idea, let us know. The Chapter is self governing, relies on member volunteers for its efficient functioning and has been in existence since its founding in 1957.
